Widely accepted as one of the oldest crafts, basketry holds endless fascination to those who appreciate the intricacies of this ancient art form. The pleasure I get from weaving baskets started over 30 years ago. Originally working with natural materials such as wild grape, honeysuckle, and willow, my work has evolved along with my love of textiles. My fiber baskets and vessels are either twined or coiled using a combination of wool, baby alpaca, silk, and linen. Roots, sticks, and metal beads provide textural contrast. Nature provides inspiration.
